Christina Pestana

Registered Nurse

Christina Pestana, originally from Southern Maryland, earned her nursing degree in 2004 at the age of 20. She has worked in several Level 1 Trauma Center ER's, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU, Pediatric Organ Transplant ICU, Interventional Radiology, and the Recovery Room. She also worked for a home care company providing critical care to pediatric patients who were completely reliant on around the clock critical nursing care. She has worked in about 50 hospitals in over 15 states, spending several years as a travel nurse before meeting her local husband on Oahu and becoming a Hawaii resident. She is currently employed at Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital, working as a nurse educator and providing critical care in the ICU, as well as Kamehameha Schools as a school nurse.

Christina and her husband traveled extensively visiting over 30 countries in Europe for an extended year long sabattical before starting a family. Christina and her husband just welcomed their 4th baby in October, now having four beautiful blessings in under 4 years. They have just completed building their own home and a small airbnb business (1 1/2 years in the making) converting a compound of small dwellings into tiny homes that are completely off-grid and sustainable, doing all of the work themselves.

Taking a more health nurturing, sustainable, and holistic approach to life, Christina is ecstatic to join the Kona Integrative Health team, with a goal of helping to educate the community on alternative therapies and treatments.

Much Aloha and Mahalo to you,
